Fear and frustration are thought to be another reason for colic. That goes for the fear and frustration of the child and of the parents as the child can feel tension and feed off of it.

Smoking after childbirth can make colic develop in breastfeed babies.
Again, these are only theories as there is no proof of any direct connection between smoking and having a child with colic, though it is never a good idea to smoke while you are pregnant. | |
