Prevention
Colic can occur no matter what preventive measures you take. However, there are some tips for prevention that are worth your time just in case they do work.
-
Use good feeding techniques. If the child seems to be more fussy after a certain type of milk/formula you should pay close attention to this and change things up to help make them more comfortable with their meals.
-
Breastfeeding mothers can take the time to consult with a breastfeeding consultant in order to get their take on colic and its causes where it pertains to breastfeeding.
-
Before the colic has a chance to develop, lean what it is that comforts your baby. This may be invaluable information if the colic does set in.
