Treatment of Gum Disease
Treatment for early stage of Gum Disease:
The gum disease needs to be treated in the early stage itself .For the treatment to be effective you need to brush your teeth 2 times a day and do flossing at- least once a day. Avoid tobacco as it weakens the ability of your teeth to fight infections. Use antiseptic or antiplaque mouth wash.
Treatment for Advanced Gum Disease:
Root Planing & Scaling: In this method, the dentist cleans the teeth and gums down till the root. The dentist may numb your teeth using local anesthesia some others use ultrasonic tool for planing & scaling 
Antibiotics: The dentists might give some antibiotics, which may be applied directly on the teeth, and some form of pills to be swallowed to prevent infection.
When the above procedures are not successful then your dentist may go for a surgery, which may be:
Ginivectomy : In this procedure the dentist will numb your gums by using local anesthesia and remove the loose gum tissue using laser once it is removed a temporary putty is put over the gum line to protect the gums as they heal.
Flap Procedure: In this method the section of gums will be pulled back to clean the teeth and repair damaged bone. The gum flap will be sewn back into place and covered with gauze to stop the bleeding. The damaged bone will be repaired from other part of the body or manmade materials.
Tooth Extraction: The tooth is extracted when it is damaged severely
