MediAngels.com was featured on CNBC Awaaz and the founders Dr. Debraj Shome and Dr. Arbinder Singal spoke about what MediAngels is, how they seek to bring about the revolution in healthcare access and the ease with which now the world’s best super specialists can be consulted using internet. Dr Shome said that they have over 1 lakh clients, and around 1500 transactions have already been carried out. Dr. Singal spoke about how the process of registration is extremely simple, and is free of cost. For a basic consultation a member will be charged a fee of Rs. 250, where one can consult a doctor and ask simple queries. A more extensive consultation, along with reports upload costs Rs. 750.

Beyond consultations, MediAngels also offers a revolutionary eInvestigation facility through which patients can order blood and other wellness checkups via the internet at a click. MediAngels accredited laboratories are present at 21,000 locations all over India, covering about 98% of India’s vast geography. MediAngels also has tie ups with several hospitals. If a person has consulted a doctor through MediAngels.com, and would like to go in for treatment to the respective doctor, they can do so. Once a member gets a prescription on consultation through MediAngels, he is told whether there is an accredited doctor in his area. He can then take the prescription to the doctor for further treatment.

MediAngels has recently received a seed funding from HDFC Private Equity, and is now looking to grow at a rapid rate globally.
