Introduction The inflammation of the glenohumeral joint of the shoulder leading to progressive loss of motion and stiffness is known as frozen shoulder. Medically referred to as ‘adhesive capsulitis’ , it is defined as inflammation of the capsule. In this condition, the patient experiences severe pain with restricted movements which is constant in nature. The pain is usually aggravated at night and is more intense during cold weather. Due to the severity of the pain associated with this condition, the patient undergoes restriction of motion even during sleep and can do limited amount of activity. The pain might also radiate to the neck and back causing severe discomfort. | |
