Introduction
Endometrial polyps are growths, attached to the inner lining of the uterus and hang inside the uterine cavity. The polyps are usually formed from the overgrowth of endometrial cells (cells of the inner lining of the uterus). These can be of different sizes from few millimeters in length to few inches and can be single or multiple in number. The polyps remains connected to the endometrium either through a small stalk or through a larger base and then keep growing inside the uterine cavity. Most of these remain limited to the uterine cavity but sometimes some polyp may grow upto upper portion of vagina.
