Introduction
This refers to an inflammation in the cartilage where the pain occurs in the sternum (breastbone) which is connected to the rib. Chest wall pain is caused by costochondritis.
Epidemiology:
Chest wall pain normally attacks women as compared to men. People above forty years are normally attacked by this disease. Nevertheless, everybody including children and infants can be affected by it.
