Introduction

Post-polio syndrome can be defined as a condition that arises 15 to 50 years after one has suffered from a polio infection in the childhood. Polio is known to affect the neuromuscular system. It also causes a person to feel lethargic and less energetic, Fatigue, muscle and joint pain are also common complains of the patient.
Post-polio syndrome is a late manifestation of the polio, or a later stage of a disease. That’s the reason it is not infectious.
