Cause:
The cause of morning sickness is not known. It is one of the symptoms accompanied during pregnancy. However, possible factors that have been proposed as causes include:
•Change in hormone or blood sugar levels during early pregnancy
•Emotional stress
•Fatigue
•Travelling or some foods may act as aggravating factors
•In few cases, it could be due to nutritional deficiency | |

Treatment Of Morning Sickness: No medication is suggested to treat morning sickness, as it is a normal symptom faced by most of the women during their early pregnancy stage.
Though dietary management and adequate rest can help control morning sickness. It is advised to have small portions of food in gaps. But not skipping of meals. Food with peculiar odor should be avoided as they aggravate nausea. Adequate fluid intake should become part of a pregnant woman’s daily regimen to avoid dehydration. Fluids like lemon water, juices should be mandatory in the diet. And to be careful, water should be taken at least half an hour before any meal, not with the meals.
Exercises as advised by the doctor should be practiced to keep the body fit. Women undergoing pregnancy should avoid going to hot places as it adds on to nausea. | |
