Description:
It is an acute exanthematous condition caused by Rubella virus. Rubella virus is a pleomorphic RNA virus. Rubella literally means ‘little red’ in Latin. In1963, it was successfully isolated in tissue cultures. Serological testing was started in 1967. Vaccine was allowed to be used in 1969. | |
