Treatment
To alleviate the symptoms secondary to the inflammation, the corticosteroid medications are started. The steroid medicines are kept on for a period of 1 to 2 years and then tapered off.
Calcium and vitamin D supplements are advised as a complimentary treatment with steroids. | |
