Introduction
-
Postural hypotension can be defined as a fall in the blood pressure when there are postural changes generally from lying down to upright.
-
When an individual changes position from sitting or lying position to standing, the blood gets pull in the legs because of gravity. Normally it is regulated via a physiological mechanism, but the situation is different in the individuals who are not keeping well, undergone a surgery, on bed rest and so on.
