Introduction
Cancer of the lips is a type of cancer that occurs within the mouth cavity and is characterized by an independent formation and multiplication of cells within the lips. This is a rare form of cancer, and a majority of cases are caused by squamous cell carcinoma (cancer of superficial layer of the skin). Current medical studies have categorized cancer of the lips and oral cavity as a type of head and neck cancer. | |
