Introduction

Munchausen syndrome is a condition in which a person simulates intentionally false, worse, or self-inflicted injury or illness with the main goal that he can be treated as a medical patient. It is a psychiatry disorder. The primary desire of the forgery is to attract attention and admiration for his family, his colleagues and the community.

Epidemiology:

  • Gender: Male: Female ratio is 2:1
  • Age: Although Munchausen's syndrome may affect children but young adults are commonly affected.
