Signs and Symptoms of Myopia
Nearsightedness tends to increase or progress till early twenties and those suffering from it may need to change their glasses or contact lenses often.
It is often first noticed that the child is suffering from myopia when he is not able to clearly read the blackboard in class. The child may hold the book very close in order to read clearly and may complain of strain in the eyes and headache.
Rarely retinal detachments or retinal degeneration may occur in people with myopia. | |
