Introduction

Age related hearing loss is also called as Presbycusis. The loss of hearing occurs slowly over time. First it may be difficult to hear high pitch sounds but gradually it gets worse and hearing low pitch sounds may also become difficult. Most of the people above 65 years of age report some amount of age-related hearing loss. The hearing loss is irreversible and may lead to deafness.
