350 doctors the world over join hands, informs Dr. Arbinder Singal at launch

Chandigarh. Nov 21 (ArchanaSethi): Dr. Arbinder Singal informs at the launch of the e-Hospital ‘MediAngels’ that the web-portal began way back in January 2009. Till date some 350 doctors the world over have joined the portal as consultants in its panel of doctors. Besides London, America and Germany; doctors from Delhi, and many from private hospitals in India, are working with the portal. Generally, of the patients visiting hospitals, a mere 5% need surgery; implying thereby, that the remaining 95% can pretty much be handled by MediAngels over the internet; rendering a physical visit to the hospital redundant. After having undergone a process of free registration at the portal, patients will have to pay the consultation charges; that too through a credit card. Consultation charges for Indian doctors have been pegged at Rs.250; for getting medical reports examined one will have to shell out Rs.750; and aInternational doc will set you off by $100. Although names of doctors have not been included in the long list, MediAngels is planning to include doctors from Chandigarh as well. Dr. Singal informed that people from Chandigarh and Punjab had been getting in touch with MediAngels. Therefore, he has launched the e-Hospitals from today; especially, for the people of Chandigarh. Post medical consultation over the internet, if a patient does, indeed, need hospitalization, MediAngels will guide them towards the best hospitals equipped with the best medical facilities.
