Introduction

As the name suggests this disease or ailment is related to infants and a serious form of this disease is commonly known as Gastroesophageal reflux. It is very commonly seen in most infants that they tend to wheeze and go out of breath especially after feeding or even at times when they cry a lot. The esophagus or the food pipe that serves the function of emptying the food into the stomach begins to act in a reflexive manner. This means that even after pouring out the contents into the stomach the content seems to come back into the esophagus thus giving rise to abnormal behavioral pattern in infants. Although this problem is very common and subsidize on its own yet in some cases it may take an acute turn.

Most infants often give indication of infant acid reflux and are often healthy. It is normally seen after feeding baby but it is also likely to take place anytime when the baby cries, coughs or even strains. The abnormality of behavioral pattern would give a clear indication of the extent of the acuteness of the disease but most often it is not a matter of concern.
