Introduction
It is a disease of the skin predominantly caused by mites. Sometimes it may also be a result of papillae known as puritic dermatitis. Any kind of acarids especially mites can be considered to be its causative organism. This disease is manifested by rigorous itching sensation and appears as a rash. A very severe condition is often termed as scabies while the same disease in animals is called mange. This disease has derived its name from the mites causing this diseases which belong to the Order Acari and hence the name of the disease, Acariasis. | |
